Using AI to transform keynote presentations.
From a one-way broadcast to a collective experience.
If you’d told me 18 months ago that I’d have created my own AI-powered event experience, I wouldn’t have believed you.
But here we are – in recent months I’ve enabled over 1,000 executives to viscerally experience how AI can bring their ideas to life. All done live, in seconds. Together.
As we approach the end of the 2024 Q4 event ‘season’, I wanted to take a moment to share a taster of what this looks like – because it’s the most excited I’ve been in the nearly 15 years I’ve been on stage at corporate events.
Instead of just talking about the latest and greatest innovations, I’m living it – using AI to transform my own product.
However, as I said to one event organiser, this isn’t really about tech or AI at all. It’s about unlocking new ways of doing something that we’ve always wanted to do. Events are about bringing people together to collaborate. They’re about sharing ideas and experiences. Now we can do this visually, and near-instantly. In a way that’s creative, and fun.
I hope this inspires you when you’re thinking how and where to deploy AI in your organisation:
How can you use AI to do what you’ve always wanted faster, and in new ways?
A quick recap, for readers who missed my announcement email back in August:
VisuAIse Futures is a ‘multi-player’ creative experience, where participants’ quick sketches are turned into better, AI-generated images. People love the experience of getting hands on with AI.
But the real magic happens when we then use AI to synthesise all the images and extract the key themes. Suddenly you can take the pulse of an industry (or your team, or your customers).
And instead of restrictive multiple choice questions, or spending weeks talking to people – you can just ask them to draw something. It can be focused on today or the future; on your industry or your specific brand, or even your event itself:
What does our industry look like in 10 years?
What does your job look like in 10 years?
What’s your biggest pain point at work?
What would customers miss if we disappeared tomorrow?
What are your main takeaways from today?
Below are a few examples I’ve co-created with audiences in recent weeks (that I can share).
Check them out. And then imagine what you could ask your audience.
If you’re organising an event then I’d love to chat about how we can deliver something that your audience will talk about for months.

What jobs will people still do in the events industry?
Very meta – IMEX is the event for event organisers. I asked what people the jobs they think they’d be doing in 5 years time.
Spoiler alert: a lot of beaches were drawn ;)
I also used Google’s NotebookLM AI-generated podcast feature to discuss the images. Have a listen here.
Or what jobs will we do in the future normal, more broadly?
Another experiment with NotebookLM. Dropping all the images in, and getting a six minute discussion about the future of work was close to a ChatGPT-style ‘a-ha’ moment!
What’s most impressive is how they (it?!) teases out the big, underlying ideas from people’s images:
What office products will we use in the future normal?
Industry conferences are an amazing opportunity to crowdsource insights into where people think things are headed. At OPI’s European Forum, I asked the office product sector which products they’ll be selling in 10-20 years.
Listen to what NotebookLM makes of their images, and what they tell us about the future of work, more broadly:
Or, what if you asked attendees what they took away from your event?
The theme of Accenture Song’s client conference, NEXT24, was ‘New Energies’. So we asked people what had energised them. Check out their thoughts:
Can I inspire your team to seize the future?
This year I’ve delivered 30+ sessions, both live and virtually – from Brazil to Saudi Arabia, Slovenia to Shoreditch.
I have a few slots left in December, and am taking bookings for 2025.
My regular trend & innovation keynotes bring fresh, cross-industry, people-first perspectives to your audience.
You’ve seen above how VisuAIse Futures takes it one step further. Here’s what people are saying about it:
“It was so refreshing to hear how AI can be used to power human imagination, rather than replace it. And then it was even better to actually experience it”
“Fantastic session! Hugely insightful and fun, too!”
“Brilliant. The feeling in the room was positively intense whilst the images were coming through!
Feel the optimistic vibes it will bring to your event in the 2-minute video below (or watch it here).
